New Year, New Cookie Jar

Posted by Rebecca Billington on

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year to you all!!

The welcoming of a New Year obviously gets you thinking about your goals and what you want to achieve from the year ahead.

Since starting The Cookie Jar in May 2019 I have been amazed and overwhelmed at how quickly my little baking business has grown. The support I have received from all of my customers, the small business community and also the baking community of Instagram has been inspiring. I thank every single one of you from the bottom of my heart!

However 2019 also bought its challenges, as well as The Cookie Jar (which is basically a full time job, think baking all nighters!) I also have two very small children aged just 3 and 1 and I work three days a week in a day job which in itself at times can be quite challenging.

This all began to take a toll, I longed to spend more time with my kids (and husband), to cook them decent food and read them bedtime stories again!

I started to dread logging in to Instagram as I was struggling to answer all of my messages and meet demand. But most worryingly I started to hate baking. The thought of baking my cookies was filling me with dread.

Therefore for me, after a recent health scare 2020 must bring change!

The Cookie Jar started as a hobby and a passion and I need to bring it back to this!

Instead of the weekly pre order system which I currently offer I will soon be starting a monthly cookie subscription box!

One monthly box which will include new flavours and products. There will obviously be limited numbers available at first.

There will also be special boxes for occasions in 2020 such as Valentines, Mothers Day, Easter, Fathers Day etc. (These will be separate from the subscription).

(I will soon open for valentines pre orders!)

I will release more information on the subscription box and how to order when the details are finalised. I am honestly now so excited about the future of The Cookie Jar! I can’t wait to start baking again and coming up with new ideas but most of all I’m looking forward to creating cookies which are made with the love and joy that they once were.

If you have read this far then thank you so much!
Take care,

Becky x
